How we work
Look at the whole building before touching any of it.
Most of the problems we are called about were created by work that looked only at one room, one unit or one complaint. A cooling unit sized for an office without asking what the electrical panel could carry. A new furnace fitted to ductwork that was already too small. A building sealed up for energy savings with nothing to replace the ventilation it lost.
So we survey first, even on jobs that look simple — and then we put the options, the trade-offs and the price in writing before any work begins.

- We do not specify equipment for a building we have not seen.
- Written prices before billable work
- Itemised, with the options, including the cheapest one that actually solves the problem.
- Electrical capacity checked up front
- So an upgrade is in the first price, not a surprise halfway through.
- Ventilation considered every time
- Especially when a building is being closed up to hold cooling in.
- Honesty about limits
- No health claims, no promised savings, no rebate figures we cannot stand behind.
Facilities first, homes as well
Why the commercial side leads.
Facilities are where the survey-first approach matters most. A building with several systems, several tenants and a board approving the budget cannot afford work that is planned one room at a time. Staged plans, schedules around occupancy and written records are what "Facility Specialists" means.
Homes get the same discipline at house scale. A family deciding between a heat pump and a second system deserves the same written options and the same honesty as a facilities department.

Meridian HVAC Facility Specialists is a heating, ventilation and air conditioning contractor. "Facility Specialists" describes who we mostly work for, not a wider trade list — we do not do electrical, plumbing, roofing or general building maintenance, although we will tell you when one of those trades is needed.
